Chai Spices Cookies
Ingredients
2 3/4 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp Epicure Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Epicure Sea Salt
1 3/4 cup white sugar
2 Tbsp Epicure Chai Spice
1 cup butter - room temperature
1 egg
1 tsp REAL vanilla extract - (read your labels)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees -
Line your sheet pan with Epicure Bake and Roll.
In a large bowl sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, combine sugar and chai spice. Remove 1/4 cup of sugar mixture and place in Prep Bowl for rolling.
In a mixer bowl, beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy (5 minutes), beat in 1 egg with vanilla extract until well mixed. Slowly blend in flour mixture until combined. Roll into a ball and then in reserved sugar mixture. Place cookie balls on sheet pan 1 1/2 inch apart.
Pop into fridge to cool, so cookies do NOT flatten when baked. Cook in preheated oven for 8-10 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Can be stored in airtight container for up to 3 days or pop into freezer to save for special event.
