Spicy Corn Carbonara

SPICY CORN CARBONARA

Ingredients

227 g Spaghetti or Linguine

6 slices of bacon

1 corn on the cob

1 pkg EPICURE Alfredo Sauce

1.5 C milk

1/2 C Parmesan cheese - grated

EPICURE Black Pepper Grinder to taste

1/2 tsp-1 tsp EPICURE Chili Flakes and Garlic Topper (optional)

fresh basil (optional)

DIRECTIONS

Cook pasta, reserve 3/4 C pasta water.

Microwave corn with husks on for 6 minutes in Multipurpose Steamer. Put aside to cool down or run under cold water. Remove husks and corn silk. Using Prep Pro Chef Knife cut off the kernels. Reserve 1/3 C kernels.

Chop bacon and place on a tray in Multipurpose Steamer , cover with lid and microwave for between 3-5 minutes.

Prepare Alfredo sauce according to instructions on the package -

In 4 Cup Prep Bowl place 1.5 C milk and Alfredo Sauce mix, whisk well.

Microwave on high for 4-5 minutes, whisking halfway through or until thickened. Place bacon, corn and Alfredo Sauce in blender, blend well.

Toss pasta with bacon fat, corn sauce, Chili Flakes and Garlic Topper, pasta water and half of parmesan cheese. Divide into bowls and garnish with reserved corn, bacon and basil, sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
