Directions

Red Wine Sauce:

In our Perfect Pan, bring wine, mulling spices and brown sugar. Cook over low heat and simmer until reduced to about 2 cups of liquid. (15-20 minutes). DO NOT BOIL as this will make the wine bitter.

Strain, then return reduced win to pan. add strawberry jam. taste to sweetness. Adjust sweetness with additional brown sugar.

Remove from heat.

Saute Grapes: Heat your Perfect Pan over medium heat with olive oil. Once oil is hot, add washed grapes in a single layer and turn heat to high so grapes sear and start to blister. (1-2 minutes). Sprinkle sugar and red wine vinegar over grapes. Pour reduced wine mixture over and let the grapes bubble ovr high heat for about 1 minute so wine coats grapes. Remove from heat.

To Serve: Spoon warm grapes into small appie bowls and top with a scoop of ice cream or yogurt.

Ingredients

1 (750 ml) bottle rich red wine - merlot

2 Tsp Epicure Mulling Spice

 2 Tbsp strawberry jam

2 Tbsp brown sugar or to taste

1 Tbsp olive oil

1 lb red seedless grapes - washed

1/4 cup sugar

2 tsp red wine vinegar

1 pint Vanilla Ice Cream or frozen
