Holiday Hashbrowns

Ingredients

500 g bag frozen hashbrowns

1 package Epicure Alfredo Mix

1 C milk (your choice)

1 Tbsp butter

1 Tbsp Epicure 3 Onion Dip Mix

1/2 tsp Epicure Sea Salt

1/4 tsp Epicure Pepper

1/2 cup grated Cheddar cheese

1 Tbsp butter

1/2 onion, diced

6-8 mushrooms, sliced

1/4 C grated Parmesan cheese

Garnish (optional) Chives and Epicure Better than Bacon

DIRECTIONS

Heat oven to 350 degrees

In your Epicure Multipurpose or Round Steamer, combine milk, alfredo pack, butter and 3 Onion Dip mix and hashbrowns .

Place in microwave and cook uncovered 5-6 mins. Your sauce should be slightly thickened and hashbrowns slightly thawed making it easy to mix.

In the meantime, in a sauté pan. add 1 tbsp butter and fry up sliced mushrooms and half a dicedyellow onion. Cook till tender and slightly brown. Remove from heat.

Stir in cheddar cheese, cooked mushrooms onion into multipurpose steamer with hashbrown and cheese sauce.

Mix well using your sauté spoon.

In a large pie plate. Add all ingredients from steamer. Spread out evenly over dish and grate 1/4 cup fresh parmesan over top.

Cover with round steamer lid or tin foil and place in heated oven for 45 minutes. (60 minutes if frozen) Remove and serve. Garnish as you like with green onion, chives or Better Than Bacon topper.

Tip: I like preparing casserole in advance and placing in fridge or freezer. In morning pop in oven. Double the recipe. Make lots - this will be a family favorite.
